Heinrich Julius Christian Otto Friedrich Franz Anton Günter Prince of Hanover, Duke of Braunschweig and Lüneburg, Royal Prince of Great Britain and Ireland (born April 29, 1961 in Hanover ) is a publisher in Göttingen and a great-grandson of Kaiser Wilhelm II.

Life

Prince Heinrich of Hanover studied sports science and completed his studies with Mag. Phil. from. Today he is a publisher in Göttingen .

Publishing activity

He is the founder and owner of the MatrixMedia Verlag, whose publications have a general historical and especially Lower Saxony-regional history focus ( monographs , historiographies , memoirs , illustrated books, films). He is also responsible for the Welfen.de website

Parents and siblings

Heinrich Julius is the youngest child of Ernst August Prince of Hanover (1914–1987), then head of the Welfenhaus , and his first wife, Princess Ortrud of Schleswig-Holstein-Sonderburg-Glücksburg (1925–1980). He has five siblings. In autumn 2005 he hit the headlines because he sharply criticized the lifestyle of his brother Ernst August in the SWR talk show Nachtcafé at Wieland Backes .

Marriage and children

On June 19, 1999, Heinrich Julius married the forester Thyra Sixtina Donata von Westernhagen (born August 14, 1973 in Oldenburg ; daughter of Burkhard von Westernhagen and his wife Uta Maria, née von Pape ) at Gut Teistungen in Thuringia . He has three children with her.

Before his marriage, Heinrich von Hannover was in a relationship with the cabaret artist Désirée Nick . The son Oscar Prinz von Hannover, born in 1996, comes from the relationship.
