Heinrich Kreutz (entrepreneur)

Heinrich Wilhelm Leberecht Kreutz (born February 6, 1808 in Siegen ; † October 27, 1879 in Boppard ) was an entrepreneur in metallurgy and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Kreutz attended the rectorate school in Siegen and from 1822 to 1824 the Wilberg educational institution in Elberfeld . Later he was a tradesman and hut owner in Olpe and Casbach in the Neuwied district . From 1835 to 1873 he owned the Olper Hütte in the Sauerland, and since 1856, together with his siblings, he was the founder and owner of the Charlottenhütte in Niederschelden . In 1873 the hut ceased operations and Kreutz first moved to Casbach and later to Boppard, where he lived as a reindeer .

He was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives from 1858 to 1867 and from 1873 to 1879. He was a member of the North German Reichstag from 1867 to the end of 1870. From 1874 to 1878 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of the administrative district of Arnsberg 3 ( Altena , Iserlohn ). There he first represented the Progressive Party , from which he resigned due to differences over the Septennat and joined the Loewe-Berger group.
