Heinrich Ruhmhofer (born October 15, 1921 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Ruhmhofer belonged to Borussia Dortmund , for which he played point games in 1943/44 in the Gauliga Westphalia , in one of 16, later increased to 23 Gauligen at the time of National Socialism as the uniform top division in the German Reich . In the 1944/45 season , which could not be played to the end due to the war, his club was represented in Group 2 .

After the end of World War II , he played the seasons 1945/46 and 1946/47 in the Landesliga Westfalen as part of the British Zone Championship . He and his club closed the latter with the final as the Westphalian champions won 3-2 on May 18, 1947 against FC Schalke 04 , winner of Group 1.

From 1947 to 1951 he was used in 70 point games in the Oberliga West . He made his debut on September 14, 1949 (1st matchday) in a 3-0 home win against Sportfreunde Katernberg and played 22 more point games in his premiere season. During this time he won the West German championship three times in a row with Borussia Dortmund. Due to the success he played for Borussia Dortmund 1948/49 four games in the final round of the German championship . At its premiere, he played the quarter-finals , which he won 5-0 against Berliner SV 1892 in Berlin on June 12, 1949, and the semi-final against 1. FC Kaiserslautern in Munich on June 26 , which ended goalless despite extra time and did not produce a winner . He was then used in the replay, which he and his team won 4-1 on July 3 in Cologne. The final, held on July 10th against VfR Mannheim in Stuttgart's Neckar Stadium, was lost in front of 92,000 spectators with 2: 3 after extra time.
