Heinrich Waderé
Heinrich Maria Waderé (born July 2, 1865 in Colmar , Alsace , † February 27, 1950 in Munich ) was a German sculptor , medalist and university professor .
Life
After an apprenticeship in a carving workshop, Waderé studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich . Syrius Eberle was one of his lecturers .
Services
In 1900 he was appointed professor for figural sculpture at the Academy for Applied Arts in Munich . There he exhibited, among other things, in the Munich Glass Palace . His close connection to the wood carving school in Oberammergau also dates from this time . He was best known for medals and monuments in the neoclassical style . The attic figures above the portico of the Prinzregententheater in Munich are also by him. Around 1916 he created the two allegorical figures "Kraft" and "Licht" on the main portal of the administration building for Rheinische Elektrizitäts-AG in Mannheim, Augustaanlage 32.
Waderé's work is assigned to the Munich School . He was buried in the old part of the forest cemetery in Munich.
