Heinrich Wilms

Heinrich Wilms (* 1959 in St. Ingbert ; † September 8, 2010 ) was a German lawyer and professor at Zeppelin University , Friedrichshafen in Baden-Württemberg .

Life

Heinrich Wilms studied law , philosophy and the history of religion of the ancient Orient at the universities in Saarbrücken , Karlsruhe , Cologne and Heidelberg . In 1985 he passed the first state examination in law in Saarbrücken and four years later the second state examination in Cologne . Wilms worked, among other things, as a research assistant and assistant at Federal Constitutional Court judge a. D. Helmut Steinberger and Martin Kriele . In 1995 he did his doctorate and habilitation at the law faculty of the University of Cologne. A year later, Wilms accepted a professorship for public law , legal philosophy , international and European law at the University of Konstanz . In 2001 this professorship was expanded to include media and telecommunications law. Wilms was dean of studies and department spokesman for the legal department at the University of Konstanz.

From April 1, 2005 until his death, he held the professorship for public law, legal philosophy and media law at the private Zeppelin University . At the same time he was a co-founder and partner of the law firm Wilms & Schaub .

He was the editor and author of numerous commentaries, series, journals and monographs.
