Heinrich Vicke von Bassewitz (* 1469 in Mecklenburg ; † 1517 ibid) was a German nobleman and landowner. He took part in the feud against Lübeck in 1506 .

Life

Heinrich Vicke von Bassewitz was born before 1469 as the second son of Johann von Bassewitz and his wife Adelheid v. Lehsten born. He had three brothers and at least one sister.

Heinrich Vicke von Bassewitz married Anna v. Platen adH Dutzow , according to other information adH Grabow. They had seven sons, including Joachim von Bassewitz . A document from 1492 mentions "Hynrik Basse tho Hogenluckow, Gert Basse syn Broder tho Torstorp, Hynrich Basse tho Rambow". According to another document, at the end of the 15th century, Jaspar Lemmeke, a farmer who was heavily indebted, as was customary at the time, paid 13 marks in lease to the von Bassewitz family for two hooves in Fährdorf on the island of Poel (as well as 14 marks in debt interest to five citizens of Wismar and 2 marks Taxes). Around the same time (around 1490), three Bassewitzes were confirmed by the dukes Balthasar and Magnus in possession of all goods and rights relating to Kowalz and Thelkow , which were pledged to Claus von Bassewitz around a hundred years earlier . In 1506 Heinrich Vicke von Bassewitz took part in the Lübeck feud together with other members of the von Bassewitz family . Hinrich zu Bülow, Lütke zu Dalwitz and Maslow, Barthold, Gerd zu Thorstorf and Thomas zu Levetzow are documented. Together they put up "twenty horses and sticks" for this feud.
