Heinz-Jürgen Schröder (born September 9, 1939 in Erfurt ) is a German surgeon.

Life

As the son of a surgeon, Schröder attended Goethe High School in Weißenfels . After graduating from high school in 1957, he studied medicine at the University of Leipzig , the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the University of Hamburg . He passed the state examination in 1963 with "very good". From 1963 to 1965 he was a medical assistant in Eppendorf (pathology), Barmbek and Altona. In 1966 he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD. He went with the family to New Jersey and Honolulu for a good two years . From 1969 to 1977 he completed his surgical training at AK Altona with Hartwig Kirschner and Konrad Lange. From 1977 to 2002 he was the chief physician of the surgical clinic in the Husum district hospital. When he headed the 153rd meeting of the Association of Northwest German Surgeons in Husum in 1993 , it was decided to merge with the Scientific Society for Surgery at the Universities of Greifswald and Rostock . From 1995 to 2014 Schröder was entrusted with the management of the newly founded Günther Haenisch Studies and Research Foundation . He founded a support association for the Husum hospital. In the Professional Association of German Surgeons it from 2000 to 2008 Chairman of the National Association of Schleswig-Holstein. From 2007 to 2015 he was with his wife honorary monastery head in Husum's Gasthaus zum Ritter St. Jürgen . From 2010 to 2017 he was an endoscopy instructor at Olympus . Since 2015 he has been a member of the Honorary Council of the Professional Association of German Surgeons.
