Heinz-Kurt Steinkampf

Heinz-Kurt Steinkampf (born March 28, 1915 in Berlin ; † February 13, 1983 there ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Heinz-Kurt Stein struggle attended a junior high school and then studied at the Technical University in Berlin-Charlottenburg for construction and civil engineering . He became an architect and civil engineer .

After the Second World War , Steinkampf was elected to the district council for building and housing in 1946 by the district assembly (BVV) in the Schöneberg district. Due to the death of the district mayor Erich Wendland in October 1950, Steinkampf was mayor for a few months. In the Berlin election in 1950 he was first elected to the Berlin House of Representatives, but in April 1951 he resigned from parliament because the BVV in the Neukölln district now elected him to the district councilor for building and housing. In September 1953 he moved to the board of directors of the non-profit housing corporation (Gewobag) in Berlin, where he worked until 1968.
