Heinz Heuser (* 1928 in Dettingen, now the municipality of Karlstein am Main ) is a former German wrestler . He was a total of five times German bantamweight champion in Greco-Roman style and free style.

Career

Heinz Heuser came to wrestling as a child at SV "Germania" Dettingen through his brother Hugo, who was three years older than him. During the war and the post-war period, it was initially difficult to achieve success beyond the Hessian area, since, for example, there were no German championships in the youth field (youth, juniors) in which Heinz could have started from 1943 to 1948.

At the beginning of the 1950s, Heinz was one of the best Hessian bantamweight wrestlers, who won the Greco-Roman. Style preferred, but also ranked in free style. In 1952 he won the title of German bantamweight champion in Greco-Roman for the first time. Style. Heinz also took part in elimination tournaments for World Championships and Olympic Games several times. In 1955 he won the decisive tournament for the flyweight championship in Karlsruhe , in which he had trained, ahead of Heinrich Weber from Aalen , but was preferred to him by the then national coach Jean Földeák Weber.

In 1960, Heinz Heuser surprised the German wrestling experts when, after a three-year break, he was again German champion in Greco-Roman.
