Heinz Ludwig Pistol (born June 20, 1940 in Dortmund ; † January 4, 2009 in Hüfingen ) was a German sculptor , draftsman and architect . He lived and worked in Hüfingen.

life and work

Heinz Ludwig Pistol studied sculpture at the State Academy of the Arts in Stuttgart from 1965 to 1971 under Professors Rudolf Daudert and Herbert Baumann . Further studies took place with the Italian sculptor Luciano Minguzzi and Caliveri. He also studied architecture with Jacob Bakema in Rotterdam and Salzburg .

He received several awards and prizes, for example he was the national youth winner in Mainz and took part in numerous art and cultural projects at home and abroad. In 1980 he was 1st prize winner in the city of Mülheim's art competition and in 1981 1st prize winner Hommage à Baden-Baden City and Landscape for Sculptures. In 1990 he was awarded the European Grand Prix La Musa dell'Arte in Cremona .

Several regional and national solo and group exhibitions z. B. in Stuttgart , Mainz , Mannheim documented his artistic work. In 1971 Pistol took part in the sculpture symposium St. Margarethen , in 1993 in the sculpture Ulm, in the Danube project Steine ​​am Fluss . In 2000 he was a participant in the sculpture symposium Oggelshausen in Oggelshausen , in 2005 he exhibited on the subject of sculptures and hand drawings in Lüneburg in the Heinrich-Heine-Haus and in 2008 he took part in the exhibition Skulptur Im Blickpunkt in the Kunsthalle Mannheim .
