Heinz List (born May 5, 1923 in Nordheim , Kr. Posen , Poland , † January 26, 1990 in Barby ) was a German farmer and from 1958 to 1963 a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR .

Life

The son of a farmer completed an agricultural apprenticeship from 1937 to 1940 after attending primary school in Töschwitz . In 1941/42 he attended the agricultural school in Lüben . List had been a member of the NSDAP since 1941 . He was drafted into the Wehrmacht for military service and on July 2, 1944, as a corporal and rider, was taken prisoner by the Soviets .

In autumn 1949 he returned to Germany and became a new farmer in Barby, Zeitz. In 1950 he became a member of the Association of Mutual Farmers Aid (VdgB), and in 1951 of the Democratic Peasant Party of Germany (DBD). In 1954 he became 2nd chairman, later chairman of the DBD district board at Schönebeck (Elbe) . He completed a course at the evening technical school in Barby from 1954 to 1956 with the field engineer examination. Since 1957 he was a city councilor in Barby and candidate for successor to the Schönebeck district council. In 1958 he was co-founder and chairman of the agricultural production cooperative (LPG) "Neue Heimat" in Zeitz, later chairman of the LPG "Helles Ufer" in Barby and finally head of the cooperative plant production department (KAP) in Barby. From 1958 to 1963 he was a member of the DBD parliamentary group, a member of the People's Chamber.
