Heinz Schimmelpfennig (lawyer)

Heinz Schimmelpfennig (born March 12, 1905 in Arys , Masuria , † December 1, 1983 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German administrative lawyer.

Life

Schimmelpfennig's father and grandfather were judges at the Königsberg Higher Regional Court . After graduating from high school in the old town , Heinz Schimmelpfennig studied law at Albertus University . Like his father and grandfather, he became active in the Corps Masovia in the summer semester of 1923 . With a legal and political doctoral thesis on the Clausula rebus sic stantibus , he was awarded Dr. jur. PhD. After the exams he joined the provincial administration of East Prussia . He took part in the Second World War as a captain in the armored force. Until 1945 he was under Reinhart Bezzenberger Landesrat in Königsberg (Prussia) . In the post-war period he came to Mannheim via Stuttgart and Heidelberg. There he became director of the wholesale and storage trade association . On August 25, 1972 (presumably on retirement) he received the Great Federal Cross of Merit . After retiring, he moved to Frankfurt with his wife.
