Heinz Simkowski

Heinz Simkowski (born March 13, 1931 in Stettin ; † July 2, 2008 in Satrup ) was a German politician ( SED ). He was chairman of the council of the district of Neubrandenburg .

Life

Simkowski came from a working class family. He attended elementary school in Stettin-Bredow from 1936 to 1944 . At the beginning of 1945 the family was evacuated to Ueckermünde . In 1945/46 Simowski worked as a messenger for the SPD district executive in Ueckermünde, and from 1946 to 1948 as a telephone operator in the SED district leadership in Ueckermünde. Between 1948 and 1950 he completed an apprenticeship as a gardener in the Vogelsang children's home , where he worked as a gardener's assistant in 1950/1951. After a distance learning course at the agricultural college in Tollenseheim , he qualified as a state-certified farmer in 1960.

In 1952 Simkowski joined the SED. He attended the district party school and was then until 1953 assistant at the district party school of the SED in Ueckermünde. 1953/54 he worked as a party teacher at the district party school Mirow , from 1954 to 1956 as headmaster at the district party school in Waren (Müritz) . From 1956 to 1958 he was head of agitation and propaganda , 1958-1960 Secretary of the MTS range crumbs (Lärz) . From 1960 to 1968 he was secretary for agitation and propaganda of the SED district leadership in Neustrelitz . Between 1968 and 1971 he completed his studies at the party college of the CPSU in Moscow , from which he graduated as a social scientist. From August 1971 to October 1977 he was the first secretary of the SED district leadership in Altentreptow . From November 1977 to the end of 1990 he was finally chairman of the council of the Neubrandenburg district and a member of the secretariat of the local SED district leadership. From October 1976 until the end of 1989 he was also a member of the Neubrandenburg district assembly . Then he received age transition allowance; Simkowski had been a pensioner since 1994.
