Helbigsdorf was first mentioned in a document in 1378. Helbigsdorf is a Waldhufendorf . Until 1547 Helbigsdorf belonged to the Castrum Meißen , then to the Hereditary Office Meißen . From 1696, the Meissen Hereditary Office and the Dresden Office each had a share in the community. The basic rule was also split share had the manor Weistropp and the manor Rothschönberg.
