Helena Kallenbäck

Helena Kallenbäck , also Asta Helena Trolle , (born November 26, 1944 in Risinge , Finspång municipality ) is a Swedish actress .

Life

Kallenbäck comes from a middle-class Swedish family. Her father was a doctor . She studied at the University of Grenoble and then worked for a time in the Stockholm city administration . A newspaper advertisement by Gösta Terserus teaterskola reawakened Kallenbäck's desire to become an actress, which she had cherished since her youth.

After a successful audition, she completed an acting training at the Malmö Drama School ( Scenskolan i Malmö ) from 1966 to 1969 . After completing her training, she was given a permanent position at the Helsingborg City Theater ( Helsingborg stadsteater ). She made her debut there as Solange in the play The Maids by Jean Genet . For her debut, she was named "Best Young Actress" by the Swedish press. Another engagement followed at the city theater in Norrköping-Linköping ( Stadsteatern Norrköping-Linnköping ). There she played, among others, Henriette in August Strindberg's drama Rausch ( crime and crime ) in 1973 . From September 1978 she played at the Folkteatern in Stockholm at the side of Zarah Leander in the musical The Smile of a Summer Night with the music of Stephen Sondheim , based on the film by Ingmar Bergman . In 1989 she received the Guldmasken -Theaterpreis, the theater prize of the Stockholm private theaters, for her portrayal of Blanche DuBois in the play Endstation Sehnsucht by Tennessee Williams .

Further theater roles in the course of her stage career were Adela in Bernarda Alba's house , Eva in Mr. Puntila and his servant Matti , Warja in Der Kirschgarten and Polly in The Threepenny Opera . She also starred in The demons of Lars Norén and entered the musicals West Side Story (as Anita ) and The Sound of Music on.

From the 1970s Kallenbäck was also seen on Swedish television and in some cinema productions. She made her debut in front of the camera in 1973 as a landlady in the Swedish television series Kvartetten som sprängdes . In 1994 she played in the Swedish children's film Can you whistle, Johanna? . The film was shown at the 1997 Berlinale and was awarded the UNICEF jury prize at the Children 's Film Festival. In 1996, she starred in the film Ellinor's Wedding - I Will With Obstacles . In the television series Låt stå! she was able to prove her comedic talent as the pedantic teacher Hillevi Müller .

In 2009 she played an episode of the crime series Mankells Wallander . It was first broadcast in Sweden in October 2009. In January 2010, Helena Kallenbäck was seen on German television alongside Fritz Wepper , Miguel Herz-Kestranek and Bernhard Schir in the role of Helena Bergström in the ARD television series Mord in bester Gesellschaft . In it she played the wealthy but increasingly bitter sister of the landowner Gunnar Larsson .

In addition to her work as an actress, Kallenbäck mainly devotes herself to charitable and charitable tasks. She is the patron and founder of BOB , a children's home in Estonia . She is also one of the supporters of the Estonian children's aid organization Eesti lastekaitseliikumise . In February 2005 she was awarded the Order of the Estonian Red Cross by the then Estonian President Arnold Rüütel for her services to charity .

Kallenbäck married twice. Her marriage to the Swedish actor and director Stig Olin ended in divorce. As a ghostwriter, she also wrote Olin's memoir under the title TrådRullen . She has been living with her current husband, Count Gustaf Trolle , at Kulla Gunnarstorp Castle outside Helsingborg in southern Sweden for several years .

As an actress, she also appears under the names Helena Kallenbäck-Trolle and Helena Trolle .
