Helgard Müller-Jensen

Helgard Müller-Jensen (* 6. January 1939 in Eisenach as Helgard Rottloff ) is a German gallery for contemporary art .

Life

She founded the "Galerie Rottloff" at the age of 22, at that time a student in the HAP Grieshaber painting class at the Karlsruhe Art Academy .

Since 1961 she has been exhibiting internationally known artists such as Arnulf Rainer , Markus Prachensky , Gerhard Richter , Rupprecht Geiger , Otto Piene , Heinz Mack , Günther Uecker , Georg Karl Pfahler , Thomas Lenk , Erich Hauser , Lothar Quinte , Piero Dorazio , Karl Otto Götz and Herbert Zangs . After more than 50 years of activity, the number of painters and sculptors presented has grown to well over 150 and in recent years has concentrated particularly on artists from southwest Germany, e. B. Joachim Czichon , Erich Reiling , Karlheinz Bux , Sabine Funke , Winfried Virnich , Werner Pokorny , Heinz Pelz , Susanne Ackermann , Gabi Streile , Werner Schmidt and Ralph Fleck . One focus of activity was the production of original graphics in our own printing workshop in close collaboration with the artists in the 1960s to the mid-1980s, which were sold to Japan and the USA. Among other things, she founded Edition Kaufhof in 1966, which contributed to the creation of the major art fairs in Cologne and Basel. From 1962 to 1986 she was married to the painter Lothar Quinte, two children, Katharina (* 1964) and Alexander (* 1965), were born. In 1987 she married the doctor and later art scholar Kei Müller-Jensen .
