Heliopolis Rotary Open 2006

The Heliopolis Rotary Open 2006 took place from August 5th to 11th, 2006 in Cairo , Egypt . The men's squash tournament was part of the PSA World Tour 2006/07 and belonged to Category 4 Star . It was endowed with $ 40,000.

Last year's winner was Amr Shabana , who did not run again. In the final game met Wael El Hindi and Laurens Jan Anjema each other. El Hindi won the game with 13:11, 11: 4 and 11: 9 and thus secured his fourth career title on the World Tour.

The field of participants in the men's competition consisted of 16 players, four of which were reserved for qualifiers. The eight best players were seeded. A wildcard was not awarded.
