Helmut Lenz

Helmut Lenz (born January 31, 1930 in Montabaur ; † December 24, 2010 ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After graduating from high school, Helmut Lenz studied law in Frankfurt am Main and worked as a lawyer after a legal clerkship and two state exams. From 1962 he worked for the federal board of IG Bau-Steine-Erden . Between 1970 and 1972 he was the works council chairman in the federal executive committee of IG Bau-Steine-Erden. He was married to the artist Franziska Lenz-Gerharz . Lenz was a member of the Catholic student union K.St.V. Staufia-Strasbourg Frankfurt in the KV .

politics

Helmut Lenz had been a member of the CDU since 1952 and was active there in many board positions. He was deputy state chairman of the CDA .

Since December 1, 1970, Lenz was a member of the Hessian state parliament. He held this mandate for 6 terms until his departure on April 4, 1991. He was elected in the constituency of Frankfurt am Main IV .

In 1984 Lenz was a member of the 8th Federal Assembly .

Other offices

Helmut Lenz was an honorary judge at the Hessen State Labor Court from 1963 to 1971 and at the Federal Labor Court from 1971 to 1984 .

Lenz was a board member of the supplementary pension fund for the roofing trade VVaG and the supplementary pension fund for the stonemasonry and sculpture trade VVaG as well as the supervisory board of the Nassauische Heimstätte .
