Helmut M. Jahn

Helmut M. Jahn (born March 18, 1949 in Plochingen ) is a German politician ( CDU ). He was district administrator of the Hohenlohe district and president of the Baden-Württemberg district assembly .

Life

Jahn was born the son of a technical businessman and a housewife and school secretary. He attended the Georgii grammar school in Esslingen am Neckar . After graduating from high school and doing military service, he studied law in Tübingen after a semester of chemistry . The clerkship graduated Jahn 1975-1978 in Ulm , Göppingen and Heilbronn . He then worked as an assessor at the district office in Künzelsau . In 1980 he began his career in Stuttgart Regional Council in the Department of disaster and civil defense . Under the then District Administrator Franz Susset, he returned to Künzelsau in 1985 as the first state official .

Since 1989 Jahn was district administrator of the Hohenlohe district. Since May 1, 2010, he has also been President of the Baden-Württemberg District Assembly; on July 22, 2013 he handed this office over to Joachim Walter . His term of office as district administrator ended on July 22, 2013. Since then, Jahn has been working as a lawyer and general representative for the Würth Foundation .

Jahn has been married since 1977, has a daughter and a son and lives in Mundelsheim ( Ludwigsburg district ).

Honors

In April 2007 he was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon and in 2017 the Cross of Merit 1st Class. At the end of his tenure as district administrator, Jahn received the Great Medal of Honor in gold from the Hohenlohe district in 2013.
