Helmut Michael Berger
Helmut Michael Berger (* 1925 in Pertisau am Achensee in Tyrol; † April 13, 2013 ) was an Austrian painter , graphic artist and restorer .
Life
Berger became deaf at the age of 14 and turned to artistic activities. He studied at the Vienna Academy of Fine Arts and then at the Art School of the City of Linz with Herbert Dimmel .
His representational pictures had only moderate success at first, but he stayed with this genre. His workshop was on the northern outskirts of Linz on Maderleithnerweg, where he had space for his versatility and made drawings, woodcuts and paintings. He worked on religious motifs and depicted people and landscapes of the Mühlviertel with great clarity.
The artist belonged to the professional association of Austrian visual artists (Upper Austria section) and was awarded the professional title of professor .

- Artistic design of the Brother Klaus Church in Doppl (Leonding community) (1964)
- Monumental painted crucifix for the parish church of St. Leopold in Urfahr (1990s)
- Color- intensive four-part screen for the chapel of the Christkindl regional care center (2004)
- Together with Theodor Bohdanowicz - restoration of the wall paintings on the ground floor of the Nordico
- Renovation of the frescoes in the Garsten collegiate church and in the Spital am Pyhrn collegiate church as well as in the Christkindl pilgrimage church
- Resurrection representation in the prayer room of the living environment Schenkenfelden (facility for deaf-blind people )
