Henry LaBounta is a special effects artist .
Life
LaBounta began his career in New York , creating animation for commercials . In 1994 he made his film debut with the comedy Juniors Free Day , followed shortly afterwards by the science fiction film Star Trek: Gathering of Generations and the ghost film Casper . Over the course of his career, LaBounta has worked for directors such as John Woo , Walter Hill , Jan de Bont and Steven Spielberg . Outside of the film industry, LaBounta has worked for Zynga , Electronic Arts and Microsoft Studios , among others .
1997 he was responsible for the disaster movie Twister together with Stefen catch Meier , John Frazier and Habib Zargarpour for the Oscar in the category Best Visual Effects nominated, but the award this year went to Roland Emmerich's science fiction film Independence Day . At the BAFTA Film Awards , however, LaBounta won the category Best Visual Effects . He received another BAFTA Film Award nomination for Minority Report in 2003 , but came away empty-handed that year.
