Hans Glöckel

Hans Glöckel (born May 24, 1928 , † February 25, 2012 in Nuremberg ) was a German school teacher and university teacher .

Live and act

Hans Glöckel was a teacher at elementary schools , obtained a diploma in psychology and was a lecturer in teacher training and history didactic at the Nuremberg University of Education . In 1964 he was promoted to Dr. phil. PhD . In his dissertation , he gave an overview of the term “popular education”, which was mainly used in the 1930s and which was no longer used in the following years.

In 1971 he became a professor at the Nuremberg University of Education; when they were integrated in 1972, the professorship became the chair for school pedagogy at the educational science faculty of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg . In 1976/1977 he was Dean of the Faculty of Education. In 1996 he retired .

From before 1979 until after 1988 he was on the advisory board of the monthly magazine Pädagogische Welt .

Hans Glöckel was married to Gudrun Glöckel and had two children.
