Herbert Born

Herbert Born (born November 11, 1916 in Osmarsleben , Staßfurt district ) is a former German functionary of the GDR block party DBD . He was chairman of the Magdeburg district board of the DBD and a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR

Life

Born, the son of a farm worker , attended elementary school in Güsten and then worked as a farm worker himself from 1931 to 1936. From 1936 he did military service, later military service . After the end of the war he worked as a farm worker again (1945/46), then as an industrial worker. In 1948 he became a Neubauer . In 1953 he became chairman of the LPG "Paul Scholz" in Güsten-Osmarsleben.

Born joined the DBD in 1949. From 1952 to 1954 he was first chairman of the Staßfurt district committee. In 1952 he attended the DBD party school "Ernst Goldenbaum" in Dieskau near Halle (Saale) . In 1952 he became a member of the Staßfurt district council and a member of the permanent commission for culture and agriculture. Born was also a member of the Staßfurt district council from 1957 .

From 1960 to 1962 he acted as chairman of the Magdeburg district board of the DBD. From 1958 to 1963 Born was a member of the DBD parliamentary group and a member of the People's Chamber of the GDR . In May 1987 he took part as a representative of LPG Tierproduktion Amesdorf (Magdeburg district) and the oldest delegate at the XIII. GDR farmers' congress in Schwerin.
