Herbert Hiesmayr

Herbert Hiesmayr (born March 12, 1940 in Linz ; † February 6, 2016 ) was an Austrian educator , academic painter , author and local researcher .

Life

Herbert Hiesmayr studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and lived in St. Thomas am bladder stone from 1976 . He was an art teacher in Perg and Rohrbach in Upper Austria until 1979 and has been a freelance artist ever since. He belonged to the professional association of fine artists of Upper Austria .

He was made an honorary citizen of the market town for his research work in St. Thomas am Blasenstein, and in 2010 he was made a consultant for science by the Upper Austrian governor . Also in 2010, he told a TV report about his archaeological excavations and research in his home town of St. Thomas on the bladder stone.
