Herbert Klatt

Herbert Klatt (born September 16, 1909 in Graudenz , West Prussia , † January 18, 1945 in Berlin ) was a German actor .

Life

Herbert Klatt began his theater career in 1931 with his first appearances in Erfurt, Konstanz and Düsseldorf. This was followed by engagements at various stages in Berlin. Most recently he was under contract with the guest performance director of Rudolf Klein-Rogge .

He also worked in some film productions . Among them were the National Socialist propaganda films U-Boats westward! by Günther Rittau and Kolberg by Veit Harlan , which today in Germany can only be shown as reserved films under certain conditions. Herbert Klatt also played in historical and entertainment films such as Condottieri by Luis Trenker and Werner Klingler with Luis Trenker, Herbert Hübner and Aribert Wäscher and The Great Game by Robert Adolf Stemmle with René Deltgen , Gustav Knuth and Heinz Engelmann .

In addition, in 1944 he worked as a news anchor for the “German Soldier Service” of the Greater German Broadcasting Corporation .

Herbert Klatt died on January 18, 1945 in Berlin as a result of an injury he had suffered.
