Herbert Leger

Herbert Leger ( pseudonyms : Salvatore Trafalgar , John Curtiss ; born April 20, 1929 in Brno , † March 15, 2007 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) was a German writer .

Life

Herbert Leger attended a secondary school in Brno . After the expulsion in 1946, the family settled in Frankenberg / Eder . Herbert Leger passed the school leaving examination in 1949 and then studied newspaper science and psychology in Munich and Berlin until 1954 . From 1955 he worked as an editor for various newspapers and for the German Press Agency . From 1958 to 1964 he headed the Alsatia publishing house in Freiburg , for which he also worked as an author. After leaving the publishing house, Leger continued to deliver literary works for a while, but then gave up writing. He completed his studies in the United States and worked since the seventies as a business consultant and trainer for members of the higher management . Leger last lived in Staufen im Breisgau . Part of the estate is in the Staufen city archive.

Herbert Leger was in the fifties known as the author of several children's books , in the series of " track books published." He later wrote under the pseudonym "Salvatore Trafalgar" (in France: "John Curtiss") an eight-volume series of detective novels about a silent detective. Leger also wrote serialized novels for magazines , radio plays and screenplays for television dramas .
