Hermann Ammermüller

Hermann August Ammermüller (born November 25, 1912 in Tübingen , † March 5, 1974 in Meckenheim ) was a German medic and medical officer in the Bundeswehr .

Life

Ammermüller was in the rank of general physician stage manager of the medical force at the troop office, the forerunner of the army office , and later in the rank of general staff physician from April 1, 1969 to March 31, 1971 chief of the medical office of the Bundeswehr .

Alongside Wolf Graf Baudissin and Gerd Schmückle, he was one of the first three generals to join the Public Services, Transport and Traffic Union (ÖTV) in 1966 .

On January 11, 1971, he received the Great Cross of Merit of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (Federal Cross of Merit) and on September 30, 1971 he was retired.
