Hermann Haack (born December 14, 1876 in Groß Many ; † February 15, 1967 in Berlin ) was a German administrative lawyer and politician.

Life

Hermann Haack was the son of the later Oberkirchenrat Ernst Haack (1850–1945). After visiting the Fridericianum in Schwerin , he began studying law at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 1895 he was reciprocated in the Corps Makaria Munich . As an inactive , he moved to the University of Leipzig and the University of Rostock . In 1899 he passed the first state examination in law and in 1903 the second . He then joined the administrative service as a government assessor. From 1907 to 1914 he worked as an administrator in the Dominialverwaltung of the Grand Ducal Offices in Schwerin. In 1914 he switched to the service of the Mecklenburg-Schwerin Ministry of Finance and was appointed Ministerialrat in 1915. In addition, he was a member of the board of the Reichsfleischstelle in Berlin .

The non-party Haack was from July 10, 1929 to June 23, 1932 as Minister of State for Finance and Education in the Eschenburg cabinet, one of only three members in the government of the Free State of Mecklenburg-Schwerin led by Prime Minister Karl Eschenburg . From 1933 until his retirement in 1937, Haack was acting president of the State Insurance Institution (LVA) Mecklenburg , based in Schwerin. After the Second World War , he joined the CDU . In 1945/46 he was again commissioned to manage the state insurance institute of Mecklenburg . In 1946 he acted as a special representative of the Mecklenburg finance minister. Haack was married to Charlotte geb. Sander. He died in Berlin at the age of 90.
