Hermann Kleinstück

Hermann Kleinstück (born May 9, 1933 in Frankfurt am Main ; † January 28, 2017 in Darmstadt ) was a German lawyer and politician ( FDP ). From 1987 to 1991 he was State Secretary in the Hessian Ministry for Science and Art .

biography

Hermann Kleinstück studied law and in 1960 at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main with a thesis on the state and the state church in England doctorate . He then worked as a lawyer and notary in Darmstadt . In 1973 he took over the position of President of the Hessian Fire Insurance Chamber . From 1987 to 1991 he was State Secretary in the Wallmann cabinet in the Hessian Ministry for Science and Art. After all, he was a member of the Management Board of Software AG until he retired .

He was one of the founders of the Hessen State Association of the European Union . Here he was state chairman from 1990 to 1999, after which he moved to the Federal Presidium.

Hermann Kleinstück was buried in the old cemetery in Darmstadt.

Culture and patronage

Kleinstück was chairman of the Darmstädter Kunstverein and chairman of the board of the Hessian Cultural Foundation from 1973 to 2005 . He was involved in numerous other cultural institutions, including after 1966, he was temporarily a member of the board of trustees of the Wolf-Erich-Kellner Memorial Foundation .

In 2014, the couple Hermann and Ursula Kleinstück donated several pieces of jewelery to the Hessisches Landesmuseum in Darmstadt on the occasion of its reopening , including a pill box by Patriz Huber . This was followed in December 2014 by a throne-like armchair designed by Joseph Maria Olbrich in 1901 for the large house of the Darmstadt furniture manufacturer Julius Glückert on Mathildenhöhe .

Kleinstück represented his party from 1968 to 1980 and from 1985 to 1992 in the Darmstadt city ​​council , at times as parliamentary group leader .
