Hermann Koelblin (born December 6, 1873 in Waldkirch ; † June 1, 1943 in Baden-Baden ) was a German lawyer , publisher and politician .

Life

Born as the son of a publisher and book printer owner, Koelblin studied law in Munich , Berlin and Freiburg im Breisgau after attending grammar schools in Baden-Baden and Lahr . During his studies in 1891 he became a member of the Rhenania Munich fraternity . After graduating in 1899, he joined his parents' company and worked as an editor and journalist . Among other things, he published the Badener Tageblatt and the Badeblatt, from 1903 as a co-owner and court printer owner. In 1903 he became a city ​​councilor and in 1911 city ​​councilor of Baden-Baden. From 1909 to 1918 he was a member of the Baden Estates Assembly for the National Liberal Party . From 1919 to 1921 he was a member of the German Democratic Party in the Baden state parliament , from 1920 to 1921 he was parliamentary group leader. In 1911 he was on the board of the Association of South-West German Newspaper Publishers, and in 1923 chairman of the South-West German publishers. In 1933 he became an honorary member . From 1928 to 1933 he was Grand Master of the Grand Provincial Lodge / Grand Lodge Zur Sonne .
