Hermann Multhaupt

Hermann Multhaupt (born April 7, 1937 in Beverungen , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German writer and editor.

Life

Hermann Multhaupt grew up in Herstelle and Rheda . After high school, he initially trained as a journalist, then worked as a senior editor for various daily newspapers in Karlsruhe , Mannheim , Offenburg , Ingolstadt , Baden-Baden and later for a business publishing house. But for the longest part of his professional life, from 1979 until his retirement in 2000, he was editor-in-chief of the church newspaper Der Dom in Paderborn . His love for the theater began at an early age, which is why he also worked as a critic and author of plays and made a name for himself with it.

In addition to his journalistic work, Multhaupt wrote about 70 books with a total circulation of over 500,000 copies on various topics, including novels, poems, diaries from South America and meditation volumes . He edited a number of books about Ireland , his favorite travel destination . a. with collections of Irish blessings .

Hermann Multhaupt is a member of the German Association of Journalists and the Ruhr-Mark authors' circle .
