Hermann Specht

Hermann Karl Hugo Specht (born May 19, 1892 in Zell im Wiesental , † March 4, 1968 in Offenburg ) was a German lawyer and politician . He was the provisional district administrator in Heidelberg and a member of the provisional parliament for Württemberg-Baden and the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg .

Life

Born the son of a pastor and church councilor , Specht studied law in Heidelberg . During his studies in 1910 he became a member of the Frankonia Heidelberg fraternity . After his legal state examinations in 1914 and 1920, he joined the Baden interior administration, became a bailiff in Lörrach and in 1928 a government councilor in Lahr . From 1920 to 1933 he was a member of the German Democratic Party ; From 1924 to 1928 he was a member of the German Peace Society . From 1914 to 1933 he was a member of the Lörrach Freemason Lodge Friedrich zur Eintracht , which is why he had problems with the National Socialists , who suspended him and transferred him to prison, most recently to Heidelberg. There he became provisional district administrator on July 9, 1945. In 1946 he became a member of the interim people's representation for Württemberg-Baden as a member of the district council. In the same year he became a judge at the Administrative Court of Württemberg-Baden . From 1949 to 1950 he was a replacement for Elly Heuss-Knapp, a member of the Württemberg state parliament for the Democratic People's Party / Free Democratic Party . In 1957 he retired.
