Herta Staal
Herta Staal (born March 29, 1930 in Vienna , actually Herta Staly ) is an Austrian film actress and singer .
life and career
She received dance training from Dia Lucca and Hedy Pfundmayr at the Vienna State Opera , where she was a ballet dancer. From 1947 to 1949 she attended the Academy for Music and Performing Arts and the Vienna Conservatory . In 1948 she made her debut in the operetta Spring in the Prater of Robert Stolz .
Until 1950 she worked at the Bürgerertheater and in 1950/51 at the Landesbühne Graz . With her first husband, the composer Hans Rahner , she went to Berlin and in 1952 to Willy Maertens at the Thalia Theater in Hamburg. In the 1950s she was extremely successful as a film actress and also appeared in TV productions . Especially in homeland films and comedies, she took on leading and supporting roles, including the title role in Die Rosel vom Schwarzwald in 1956 . In 1993 she finished her acting work. Herta Staal lives secluded in Munich.
