The Bürgerertheater was a theater in Vienna's 3rd district, Landstrasse, at Vordere Zollamtsstrasse 13 .

Playhouse

The Vienna Citizens' Theater was built in 1905 at the instigation of the actor and writer Oskar Fronz senior according to plans by the architects Franz von Krauss and Josef Tölk in the 3rd district of Vienna . The wall paintings were by Eduard Veith . The theater had seating for 1144 people. The official opening as a theater took place on December 7, 1905 with the play The Old Lord by Beatrice Dvorsky in the presence of the Mayor of Vienna Karl Lueger . Operetta and Revue

In 1910 the Bürgerertheater was converted into an operetta stage due to its waning success , with Edmund Eysler working as the house composer.
