Heti Diefenhardt

Heti Diefenhardt (born March 5, 1920 in Frankfurt am Main ; † February 6, 2017 in Hanover ) was a German painter , image maker and designer .

Life

Heti Diefenhardt, who was born at the beginning of the Weimar Republic , completed an apprenticeship as a designer at her place of birth in the Städel Art Institute after attending school from 1938 until the Second World War in 1942 . As a result, she attended the fashion school of the city of Frankfurt am Main, the specialist art school in Hanover and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and graduated.

Diefenhardt's work included the drafting and production of wall hangings, especially for churches and monasteries as well as for the private sector. She also made embroidery for various areas of application.

In the early 1950s Diefenhardt worked for in Bramsche producing . Rasch wallpaper factory Gebr . At that time she was already listed as an artist in the International Art Address Book from 1954 at the address am Fasanenkrug in Hanover, Varrelheide 6 .

As a painter and designer, Diefenhardt provided not only works for wallpaper, but also designs for fabrics and cloths, for porcelain and for the fashion sector.

Heti Diefenhardt was buried on February 14, 2017 in the Bothfeld district cemetery in Hanover.
