Hixter is a court in the Bergisch city ​​of Wuppertal .

Location and description

The Hofschaft is located in the northwest of the city at 191  m above sea level. NHN in the valley of the Brucher Bach in the west of the Eckbusch residential area in the Uellendahl-Katernberg district near the city limits of Wülfrath . The federal motorway 535 runs near the village .

In the early modern period, Hixter was one of the small estates of the Theisbruch farm .

On the topographical survey of the Rhineland from 1824, the place is marked as Exter . In the course of the 20th century, the place was named Hexter and Hixter on measuring table sheets . On an overview plan of the community of Sonnborn des Hagdorn Sen. from 1868 the place Hickster is mentioned, on the overview plan of Elberfeld of the surveying director Zumpfort from 1925 Heckster . The Hofschaft was in 1867 by the mayor Haan cleaved mayoralty Sonnborn , the 1888 territorial concessions to the City of Elberfeld in Vohwinkel was renamed.
