Franz Johann Hieronymus Innozenz von Spreti (born April 6, 1695 in Ravenna , † April 25, 1772 in Munich ) was a Bavarian count and general of Italian descent.

Hieronymus von Spreti, son of the Italian Count Johannes Baptista von Spreti and his wife Maria Hieronima born. von Condronchii, became the first bearer of his family's name to be permanently resident in Bavaria and the founder of the local family line. In 1700 he was revolted as a Knight of Malta with the papal age dispensation , in 1703 he went to the Bavarian court as a page , and in 1711 his Italian title of count was recognized in Bavaria.

In 1715 Spreti advanced to electoral chamberlain , fought in the Bavarian regiment Kurprinz in the Battle of Belgrade in 1717 and became a caretaker in Friedberg in 1725 . 1729 Knight of the Order of St. Georg charged he served Elector (later Emperor) Karl Albrecht of Bavaria as Chamberlain, Colonel chef , General sergeant and a lieutenant of hartschier garde. The count was one of his closest friends. In 1742 he was appointed privy councilor , Elector Maximilian III. Joseph promoted him to field marshal lieutenant in 1752 . In 1758 he became a Real Privy Councilor and in 1759 received the Grand Cross of the Order of St. George.

Hieronymus von Spreti died in Munich in 1772 and found his resting place in the Franciscan monastery of St. Antonius there. The Bavarian National Theater is located at this place today . His epitaph came in 1802, when the convent was demolished, in the branch church of the Birth of Mary in Hebertshausen-Unterweilbach .

The wife Maria Caroline Charlotte von Ingenheim

In 1723, Count von Spreti married the court lady Maria Caroline Charlotte von Ingenheim (1704–1749). This was done with the express consent of Prince Elector (later Elector and Emperor) Karl Albrecht von Bayern , who had two children with her as his lover. These were Maria Josepha comtesse de Hochenfels de Bavière (1720–1797), married since 1736 to the Wittelsbach Emmanuel-François-Joseph Comte de Bavière (1695–1747) and Franz Ludwig von Holnstein (1723–1780), founder of the noble house of the counts from Holnstein from Bavaria . Both became Spreti's stepchildren. The marriage took place on October 1, 1723, and Franz Ludwig von Holnstein was born three days later.

Hieronymus von Spreti and Maria Caroline Charlotte von Ingenheim had 14 children of their own in 26 years of marriage. Of these reached adulthood:

After the untimely death of his wife, Hieronymus von Spreti married the widowed Countess Maria Anna von Verita, b. Beccaria, 1759, after her death, Antonia Freiin von Goder. Both connections remained without offspring.
