The Historical Commission for the Bohemian Lands (HKBL, Czech: Historická komise pro dějiny českých zemí ) is a registered non-profit association of scientists who deal with the national history of the Bohemian lands , which includes the area of the Czech Republic and the former Habsburg lands of Bohemia , Moravia , Silesia and Austrian Silesia corresponds. It is based in Heidelberg .
It was founded in 1954 as the Historical Commission of the Sudetenland . Its members work with various Czech organizations, the Herder Institute in Marburg, the Herder Research Council and the Collegium Carolinum in Munich. The chairman is (2017) Robert Luft from the Collegium Carolinum.
The commission awards a science prize and publishes a series of researches on the history and culture of the Bohemian countries in the Peter Lang Verlag . With the Herder Institute, she is creating a literature documentation on the history of East Central Europe.
The commission consists of full, corresponding and honorary members. Members were or are, among others, Stephan Albrecht , Manfred Alexander , Joachim Bahlcke , Heinrich Bodensieck , Detlef Brandes , Winfried Eberhard , Anton Ernstberger (founding member), Horst Glassl , Monika Glettler , Frank Hadler , Peter Haslinger , Peter Hilsch , Rudolf Jaworski , Michaela Marek , Stefan Samerski , Heribert Sturm (founding member), Tatjana Tönsmeyer , Martin Schulze Wessel , Thomas Winkelbauer and Volker Zimmermann . The founders in the 1950s also included historians and scientists such as Anton Altrichter, Hermann Aubin , Anton Blaschka , Josef Blau , Josef Hanika , Josef Hemmerle , Rudolf Hemmerle , Rudolf Hönigschmid , Karl Gottfried Hugelmann , Emil Lehmann (folklorist) , Eugen Lemberg , Josef March , Theodor Mayer , Friedrich Metz , Karl Valentin Müller , Josef Nadler , Kurt Oberdorffer , Theodor Oberländer , Friedrich Panzer , Hermann Raschhofer , Wilhelm Weizsäcker , Heinz Zatschek .
