Hoani (also Kavé-Hoani ) is a village on the Comorian island of Mohéli . It belongs to the Moimbassa municipality in Fomboni prefecture .

geography

Hoani is one of the northernmost villages on Mohéli and is about 80 kilometers as the crow flies from the Comorian capital Moroni and about 8 kilometers from the capital Mohélis, Fomboni . The village is located directly on the Indian Ocean at the mouth of the Mro oua Bouéni river . The hilly surrounding area includes the Hakodini hills in the southwest and Chongodjoua in the southeast. South of Hoani begins the generally mountainous inland of Mohéli with forests and rainforests . A settlement belonging to Hoani one kilometer upstream is called Ngamaroumbo, the settlement on the west side of Mro oua Bouéni is called Gnambo Yamaoré.
