Hofmann & Lindholm

Hofmann & Lindholm is a German artist collective that realizes multidisciplinary projects at the interface between scenic, visual and acoustic art. It was founded in 2000 by Hannah Hofmann (born August 28, 1971 in Hameln ) and Sven Lindholm (born August 23, 1968 in Hamburg ).

Life

Hofmann and Lindholm studied at the Institute for Applied Theater Studies in Gießen in the 1990s . Since 2000 they have been developing theater productions, texts, audio pieces, media and space installations, films, urban space interventions and performances together. Her conceptual work is characterized by an examination of current social phenomena and the exploration of new narrative methods, visual languages ​​and formats.

Productions by Hofmann & Lindholm are presented on stages in the professional independent scene and the city theater, in galleries and exhibition halls, in public spaces and on the radio. In the winter semester 2009/2010 Hofmann & Lindholm held a visiting professorship at the University of the Arts in Berlin. Sven Lindholm has been a professor at the Institute for Theater Studies at the Ruhr University Bochum since 2010 , where he heads the master's degree in scenic research.
