Hondo is a city and seat of the county seat of Medina County in the US state of Texas in the United States .

The city is located on US Highway 90 in central county, in south-central Texas, 65 km west of San Antonio and has a total area of ​​24.9 km 2 , of which 0.1 km 2 is water.
