Horní Datyně ( German Ober Dattin , Polish Datynie Górne ) is an eastern district of Vratimov in the Czech Republic .
history
The village Datynia or Datyń in the Duchy of Teschen was first mentioned in 1577 as z Datynie . However, it was about today's Dolní Datyně (Lower Dattin), a district of Havířov 2 kilometers to the east, behind Václavovice and the hill (303 m) and the Babčok forest , while today's Horní Datyně is first mentioned from the second half of the 17th century . Century, z. B. na Datyni in 1683. The distinction by name with the additions Nider Datina and Ober Datina appeared in 1724. The originally singular possessive name Datynia (feminine) or Datyń (masculine) was derived from the personal name Dat or Data (compare old Polish names Miłodat and Dat (e) k ) with the suffix -yń / -ynia. The plural form Datyně / Datynie initially referred to both villages in the 17th century, but then established itself for individual places after they were differentiated with the adjectives Nieder and Ober . In the local Moravian-Lachish dialect , the toponym datynie horni / gorni (after K. Nitsch, a Polish linguist in 1909, Datyńe Gorńi, v Gorńix Datyń ) was pronounced, although the pronunciation with the lack of spirantization g ≥ h tends to be pronounced with the Polish-Silesian Teschener dialects that were spoken in Nieder Dattin.
In 1662 it was with Václavovice a separate rule of the Sobek von Kornic family, which in 1666 was sold to the Skrbenský z Hříště family. A chapel was built at the turn of the 19th century.
In the description of Teschener Silesia by Reginald Kneifl in 1804, Dattin (Ober) was a village of the Schönhof rule in the Teschner Kreis , on the Pluchowka brook. The village had 35 houses with 231 inhabitants in Silesian-Moravian dialect, which were parish in the parish in Rattimow. After the abolition of patrimonial it became a municipality in Austrian Silesia , judicial district Friedek until 1901 in the district of Teschen , then in the district of Friedek . According to the census in the years 1880 to 1910, the village had between 655 and 969 inhabitants, mainly Czech-speaking Roman Catholics, who called themselves Lachen . In 1910 there were also 127 (13.1%) Protestants, who made up a majority of over 85% in the predominantly Polish-speaking Lower Dattin. From 1911 to 1937 Josef Borový's forge was active in the village.
After the collapse of Austria-Hungary at the end of 1918, Horní Datyně became part of Czechoslovakia . From 1939 in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia . Horní Datyně was incorporated into Vratimov after the Second World War.
