action

The opening credits begin in a hostel in the United States. A man confuses the room and enters a room where he finds a barely clothed woman ironing. Shortly thereafter, her boyfriend enters and is slightly upset about the situation. As a result, the two of them start a conversation, which smooths the situation again, and the man offers the Ukrainian couple a beer. The couple passed out from the beer in the bathroom. Shortly afterwards, two men appear through the door, disguised as a mirror, and drag the couple onto a van. Furthermore, a tattoo on the arm shows that the man is a member of the "Elite Hunting Club".

A move to a house follows, where bride Amy says goodbye to her future husband Scott. Scott meets three other friends for a bachelorette party in Las Vegas . Once there, the four friends Scott, Mike, Justin and Carter play blackjack . After the game they get to know the escort ladies Nikki and Kendra. The women invite the four to a party in a remote location. At that party, Mike and Nikki get closer and shortly afterwards they are abducted by the Elite Hunting Club.

The next day, Mike wakes up in a cell and is tied to a chair in another room. A curtain opens and you can see that there is an auditorium behind the window where people sit and bet on what will happen next. A man dressed similarly to those in the hostel appears and tortures him by cutting the skin off his face. He leaves the room to applause and screams, leaving Mike to his fate.

Since the remaining three are wondering about their friend's whereabouts, they go looking for him by driving to an address that Nikki had previously given one of the three. Once there, they break into a room by climbing through an open window. Suddenly the door is kicked in by Kendra, one of the escort ladies, and her companion, who threaten the three with a gun and ask for their friend; they discover that Nikki and Mike have disappeared since the party.

Meanwhile, Nikki is being prepared for the next gig. She is put into a cheerleading costume and fixed on a metal plate. Another tormentor comes into the room, sprays attractant around the mouth and throat, and releases a large number of cockroaches that enter through the screaming Nikki's mouth, causing her to choke on it.

After Nikki's death, the others are lured into a hotel by a text message . Everyone is surprised - Scott, Carter and Kendra in the hotel room, Justin in the car - and kidnapped. A short time later you wake up in cells and Justin is fetched. Carter identifies himself as a member of the torture club and is immediately released.

Carter sits in the audience and watches as another tormentor shoots Justin with a crossbow, killing Justin. Scott is now picked up, fixed on the chair and the next tormentor enters the room - it is Carter. He admits that he wants to get rid of Scott because he has something he wants, which is Amy. Carter starts the chainsaw and the club owner releases Scott without Carter's knowledge, so that an immediate battle breaks out between the two. During the fight, Scott cuts out the torture club tattoo on Carter's upper arm to open an electronic lock. On his escape, he discovers the bodies of his murdered friends and a phone with which he alerts the police. A clerk's assistant discovers this and informs his boss, whereupon the latter activates a time fuse that is supposed to initiate the detonation of the building and orders all guests to be removed and the prisoners to be killed.

Meanwhile, the Ukrainian man manages to escape, during which he - when he hears loud alarm signals - destroys the main power supply with the help of an ax. He kills a security guard and is also killed by a shot from his weapon. As a result, Scott passes that Ukrainian man, shoots a security guard who is about to kill Kendra and frees her. However, she is shot while trying to escape by the club owner's assistants, who in turn is killed in a fight with Scott.

Meanwhile, Carter kills the club owner in a fight. The only slightly injured Carter manages to escape in his car.

It comes to the showdown:

While Carter drives towards the exit gate, Scott also appears. He runs after Carter, who sees this, gets out of the car and closes the gate behind him. While Scott is shouting for Carter at the gate of the fence, the building explodes. Carter drives on, leaving the action behind.

At the end, the funeral of Scott is shown, where Carter comforts Amy as expected and slowly approaches her. Carter is then invited to dinner by Amy, who asks him to stay with him. Carter seems to have won. But when Amy serves a bottle of wine, she suddenly stabs his hand with the corkscrew. Scott shows up and takes Carter to his garage, where he murders him with a garden tool.

criticism

“... and that's why Scott Spiegel's“ Hostel 3 ”is a cheaply produced sequel that is now on the shelves of the video store, which doesn't even come close to Eli Roth's decent“ Hostel ”and even clearly undercuts the unsuccessful sequel“ Hostel 2 ”. But "Hostel 3" not only has a pointless story and bad actors, it doesn't even manage to meet the needs of torture fans. Where Eli Roth dared to do things in “Hostel 2” that ensured that the film was only released in German cinemas in a heavily cut version, the third part now proves to be comparatively harmless. It is true that one of the victims' faces is pulled off, but even that is staged so moodlessly that there is not even a hint of horror in any scene.

Conclusion: In the first five minutes, the expectations of the audience are played quite skillfully, but then "Hostel 3" quickly degenerates into silly, extremely boring and in the end just ridiculous torture porn. "

"Third part of the 'Hostel' series, which satisfies the lowest needs and speculates on the audience's thirst for sensation."
