Huang Zitao
Huang Zitao (born May 2, 1993 ; simplified Chinese : 黄子韬; traditional Chinese : 黃子韜; pinyin : Huáng Zǐtāo; Korean : 타오, 황 지 타오; Japanese : タ オ, 黄子韜) better known under the name Tao or Z.Tao is a Chinese rapper , singer , songwriter , actor and martial artist .
Life
Huang Zitao was born on May 3, 1993 in Qingdao , Shandong , China . Zitao learned Wushu in his childhood . In 2010, he reluctantly accompanied a friend to an MBC Star Audition and was accepted by SM Entertainment .
Musical career
2011–2015: EXO and the lawsuit against SM Entertainment
In late December 2011, Tao was introduced as the third member of Exo . He made his first appearance on SBS 'annual Gayo Daejeon in December. In 2013, Zitao participated in Splash! part, a celebrity diving series. Several celebrities reportedly injured themselves during filming, which is why she was reinstated a short time later.
In June 2015, Zitao opened his own label 黄子韬 Z.TAO Studio in China . On August 24th, Zitao filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment to terminate his contract due to multiple violations.
Since 2015: Solo career, The Road and Promise Asia Tour
At the end of July, Zitao's debut TAO appeared, which sold over 670,000 times in the week of publication. The EP Z.TAO followed in August . The music video for the title Crown was presented in a 7-minute short film.
At the beginning of January 2016, Zitao won the “Most Influential Male Singer” award at the Mobile Video Festival 2016 (Miopai Awards). He then became the headliner of the SoYoung 2016 Live Concert Tour . During the concert Zitao played his songs Reluctantly , Crown , MOM , I'm the Sovereign , Feel Awake and he won the Most Popular Performer award.
In March 2017, Zitao announced that he was working on an album called The Road . In April 2017 he became a testimonial for the 17th Top Chinese Music Awards and won the "All-Round Artist Prize". Then Zitao announced his Promise Asia Tour .
