During his studies he became a member of the KDStV Hercynia Freiburg im Breisgau in the CV in 1891 . He passed the second state examination in April 1899 and was awarded a Dr. iur. PhD . In 1933 he received a regular full professorship at the University of Münster.

Political career

In the First World War Naendrup served as an officer . After the war he left the German Army as a major in the reserve. At the time of the unrest in the Weimar Republic around 1920, he sympathized with the aims of the Kapp Putsch . He founded the Academic Defense Munster , a volunteer corps , which all student organizations joined. Until 1932 Naendrup belonged to the German National People's Party (DNVP).

Member of the NSDAP since December 1932 , Naendrup founded the Kampfbund for German Culture in Münster. Not least because of this he was rector of the university in the winter semester of 1933/34 and in 1934/35 . He was thus also a member of the alignment commission of the University of Münster. From 1939 to 1940 he was in command of the main camp VI A , a prisoner of war camp in Hemer .

In the post-war period, attempts were made to classify Naendrup as a follower in the court proceedings ; but he died before the trial was over.
