Hubert von Heyden
Hubert Friedrich von Heyden-Nerfken (born September 13, 1860 in Berlin , † January 20, 1911 in Munich ) was a German animal and landscape painter and the main representative of German impressionism within the Munich Secession .
biography
Hubert von Heyden came from the East Prussian noble family Heyden-Nerfken . He was the youngest of five children of the history painter and member of the Prussian State Councilor August von Heyden (1827-1897), professor at the Academic College for the Fine Arts in Berlin, and Josephine von Weigel (1834-1901).
First he learned from Anton von Werner in Berlin, then he matriculated on October 28, 1885 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and began studying art with Johann Leonhard Raab . After completing his studies, he lived in Munich, painted during the summer months in Braunau am Inn and on the Maisinger See south-west of Starnberg and was a member of the German Association of Artists , the Munich Secession , the Munich Artists 'Cooperative and the Allotria artists' society . After his death, the Munich Secession organized an estate exhibition with around 80 of his works in the winter of 1911/1912.
Some of his works of art ( chicken farm and poultry farm ) are in the Neue Pinatothek and are on permanent loan from the Letter Foundation .
