Hubertus Freyberg

Hubertus Freyberg (eigtl. Hubertus von Freyberg-Eisenberg-Allmendingen; born March 13, 1958 in Ehingen (Danube) ) is a German Roman Catholic priest , philosopher , spiritual director of the Regina Pacis conference center of the Rottenburg-Stuttgart diocese in Leutkirch im Allgäu , radio - ( Radio Horeb ), TV presenter ( EWTN ) and former deputy dean of the Allgäu-Oberschwaben dean 's office .

Life

Freyberg comes from the Swabian noble family Freyberg-Eisenberg- Allmendingen. He is the youngest son of Ernst Otto von Freyberg-Eisenberg-Allmendingen and Beate von Pressentin. Growing up in Allmendingen , he went to the Episcopal Gymnasialkonvikt College St. Josef in Ehingen (Danube) and completed his Abitur at the commercial high school in Biberach an der Riss . From 1979 he studied business and economics at the Albert Ludwigs University in Freiburg im Breisgau and at the University of Cologne , before joining the monastery of the Augustinian Congregation of the Brothers of Common Life (CRVC) in Maria Bronnen near Weilheim . There he completed a degree in philosophy and theology. After his ordination he was pastorally active in Villingen-Schwenningen , Waldshut-Tiengen and Freiburg im Breisgau. After leaving there, he worked for two years at the Malteser conference center near Cologne in 2001 .

Since 2003 he has been leading the Regina Pacis conference center in Leutkirch im Allgäu as a spiritual director.
