Hugo Rösch

Heinrich Hugo Rösch (born July 3, 1861 in Marienberg ; † November 14, 1933 in Naunhof near Leipzig ) was a German journalist , publisher and editor. He also wrote under the pseudonym Pasquino .

Life

He was the son of the city treasurer of Marienberg and attended the secondary school in Annaberg . Rösch, who comes from the Saxon Ore Mountains , founded his own publishing house as a young man in the trade fair city of Leipzig , which he named after himself. On August 25, 1891, he joined forces with a partner, Philipp Kühner, to form the Rösch & Kühner publishing house in Leipzig.

As editor he dared to publish a yearbook for the Ore Mountains in 1884, which he lucked out! and which was dedicated to the friends of the Ore Mountains. This yearbook, which was published by Carl Reissner's publishing house in Leipzig, did not go beyond the first three years. Since Rösch also had a musical disposition, in 1886 he was additionally asked to publish the publication Sang und Klang im Sachsenlande , which saw itself as a collection of Saxon folk songs. This publication appeared a year later in the publishing house of Rengerschen Buchhandlung Gebhardt & Wilisch in Leipzig.

In addition, Hugo Rösch was the editor of the monthly trade journal Die Litterarien Praxis , which was the organ of the Leipzig Writers' Association founded in October 1890 . In addition, he wrote a number of articles for the scientific supplement of the Leipziger Zeitung , mostly about the Ore Mountains.

In 1933 Hugo Rösch died as a freelance writer in Naunhof near Leipzig.

Hugo Rösch had been married since June 8, 1918. The marriage took place in Sangerhausen. His wife Martha Rösch died in 1952.
