IC 3543 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Scd in the constellation Coma Berenices the northern sky . It is estimated to be 286 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 75,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 4555 , IC 3545 , IC 3546 , IC 3582 .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on March 23, 1903 .
