IT holding

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The IT Holding was an Italian clothing company based in Pettoranello del Molise in Isernia .
The production company Ittierre SpA , which once belonged to the holding company , continued to exist at the same location after the insolvency of IT Holding in 2009 and was renamed OTI (Officine Tessili Italiane) under new management in 2014 after another insolvency .

IT holding

structure

IT Holding was divided into the branch of production of own and licensed brands under the umbrella of Ittiere SpA , which also had the operational management, and the branch of sales under the umbrella of the Dutch company IT Finance and Trading BV . It was sold worldwide through 33 of its own stores, around 280 franchise single-brand stores and around 6000 independent upscale department stores and fashion stores.

IT Holding, founded in 1982 by the Italian textile entrepreneur Tonino Perna (* 1947), was listed on the Milan stock exchange from 1997 to 2009 . The group filed for bankruptcy at the beginning of 2009 . In 2007 the holding company achieved net sales of EUR 637 million with over 1,800 employees at the time. By spring 2011, the company's own brands and license business were sold. Tonino Perna himself was arrested in Italy in January 2012 for bankruptcy fraud in the amount of 61 million euros.

Brands

The Group's brands included:

  • Gianfranco Ferré (acquired in 2002),
  • Malo (cashmere knitwear, acquired in 1999)
  • Romeo Gigli (acquired in 1999, resold in 2004)
  • Exté (youthful fashion, own brand launched in 1995)

Manufactured under license were u. a. the labels:

From the beginning of the 1990s to 2009 Ittierre also produced the Versace secondary lines Versus (1989 to 2005), VJC Versace Jeans Couture (1989 to 2005), Versace Jeans Signature and Versace Sport (2005 to 2009), until the mid-1990s the secondary lines of Trussardi and from 1993 to 2005 the second line D&G for Dolce & Gabbana and other labels from other fashion brands.

Bankruptcy and sale

In February 2009, Ittierre SpA , as part of IT Holding, filed for bankruptcy and continued to operate in bankruptcy proceedings until mid-2010. In mid-2010, the brands that Ittierre owned ( Gianfranco Ferré , the cashmere label Malo and the own brand Exté ) and Ittierre itself with the licensing business for Gianfranco Ferré ( GF Ferré ), Roberto Cavalli ( Just Cavalli ), John Galliano ( galliano ), Costume National ( C'N'C CoSTUME NATIONAL ) and Ermanno Scervino ( Ermanno Ermanno Scervino ) publicly auctioned. The production for the license owners was largely continued during the bankruptcy proceedings. The Malo brand was taken over by the Italian Exa Group (Evanthe Srl ) in August 2010 . After a deal with a consortium led by the Samsung Group and the US private equity firm Prodos Capital that had collapsed at the end of 2010 , Gianfranco Ferré announced in February 2011 that it would be taken over by the Arab licensee and clothing retailer Paris Group from Dubai . The private label Exté was put on hold. Roberto Cavalli licensed Just Cavalli to Staff International in 2011 .

Ittierre SpA

The Ittierre Group itself went to the Italian Albisetti SpA at the end of 2010. In 2011, around 600 employees worked at the company headquarters in Pettoranello del Molise; the company employed a total of approx. 3000 people. Since the takeover, Ittierre has produced the following clothing lines under license in addition to its own brand ACHT :

Another bankruptcy

Starting in June 2013, the Albisetti subsidiary Ittierre lost the licenses for Costume National, Karl Lagerfeld, Tommy Hilfiger and Pierre Balmain from the respective brand owners within a few months. In October 2013, the company introduced due to a debt of almost 90 million euros in the District Court of Isernia a preliminary insolvency application. In September 2013, Ittierre's premises were searched for counterfeit goods of the Ferré and Ermanno Scervino brands by the Italian Guardia di Finanza . At the end of 2013 it was announced that the Indian entrepreneur Taff Kainth, head of the British conglomerate Sharetime Ltd., to which the clothing specialist Turkswood Ltd. heard that I wanted to participate in Ittierre. Kainth withdrew his participation offer in January 2014.

OTI

At the end of August 2014, the liquidated Ittierre started again with the new owner and fashion entrepreneur Antonio Rosati, whose conglomerate Hdc Holding had been accepted by the bankruptcy court in Isernia. Under the new company name OTI (Officine Tessili Italiane), the company will initially produce the collections for Rosatis fashion brand Lorenzo Riva under license with 60 employees of the approx. 700 Ittierre employees at last . Further licensing agreements have been announced with the fashion houses Gai Mattiolo and Gianfranco Ferré . Rosati was arrested in October 2014 for tax evasion. Since the beginning of 2015, the investment company IKF has been trying to acquire the entrepreneur Mario Galetti from OTI / Ittierre.
